Nominations for the 34th New England Emmy Awards were just announced, and Bloom: the Plight of Lake Champlain has been nominated under the environmental program category! Nominations were selected by a panel of judges from the Pacific Southwest, Southeast and Northern California Chapters of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.

Bloom will be competing in the environmental program category with five other programs.  For the full list of this year’s nominees, link here. The 34th Boston/New England Emmy Awards Ceremony will be presented at Granite Links Golf Club on Saturday, May 14, 2011.

Bloom goes national!

April is Bloom month! Bloom is being offered to public TV throughout the nation through the National Educational Telecommunications Assoc. It’s popping up on broadcast schedules in California, Colorado, Michigan, New Hampshire, Texas, … . Let your friends and family know across the States that their local PBS station can show Bloom.

Member stations can download Bloom for broadcast starting April 20th, just in time for Earth Day.  More details from NETA here.
